RevHoney was started by family owned beekeeping operation from the Midwest in a small town called Haddam, Kansas. Nate Brown and Jerry Brown were business partners in the bee operation. Brown Honey Farms is still by far the largest beekeepers in the state. Jerry a third generation beekeeper, Nate a fourth generation beekeeper, so honey is in their blood you could say.
A few years ago Nate and Jerry were talking about their frustrations with how honey is sold. Honey is sold as a commodity at the lowest price possible. From that point, we made it a goal to change how the world views honey…we just didn’t know how. With a little marketing research they discovered that people didn’t just want to buy “their” honey because it taste better than the other guys; they needed to have more. Something that is set apart from everything else.
A few months later they obtained the rights to a book originally published in the UK called The Hibernation Diet by Mike McInnes, MRPS, under the licensing of their newly formed company, WorldClassEmprise. It’s a book about taking a tablespoon of honey before you go to bed at night helps you lose weight while you sleep. This book opened them up to a world of health benefits with daily consumption of honey, completely untapped into by the honey industry. They hired Dr. Ron Fessened, MD, MPH, who had just retired to research more into this book before we published the book here in the states. Dr. Ron was blown way and has ever since been researching honey and the human metabolism with shear amazement of how the medical industry has missed it for so many years.
Fast forward several years, WCE have since published a second book titled The Honey Revolution by Dr. Ron Fessened, with 4 more books written just waiting to be printed, all having to do with honey and its healthy benefits. WorldClassEmprise (www.thehoneyrevolution.com) works hand in hand with RevHoney on marketing and promotion of honey and health.
On April 2, 2009 Nate and Jerry started a new honey marketing company called RevHoney (www.revhoney.com), short for Revolutionary Honey. The goal for this company is to make a convenient product that is healthy and benefits the body.
The honey industry stopped at the honey bear and that frustrated Nate and Jerry. The honey industry didn’t make honey any more convenient. They haven’t tried to research to see if honey even had healthful benefits (until WCE and RevHoney came along). So with all of these things in mind, we developed a new product called RevHoney U-Tubes. U-Tubes are 1 serving (1 oz.) plastic tubes filled with honey that are fruit flavored. Along with the convenience of a small 1 serving tube that can fit in your pocket, purse or gym bag, we also promote the health benefits of honey.
